With more than 10 years and now a 6th album, Better Than Good Times, under their belt, Austin’s Golden Boys have gone from garage rock upstarts to seasoned veterans. Thankfully, that experience hasn’t muddied their straightforward, rambunctious approach to rock ‘n’ roll. Songs like “Sunday With Jackie” begin with the band informing listeners “I’m on drugs!” before devolving into an awesome 2 1/2 minute punk freakout.
