Like so many great ideas, Shinyribs’ new album started as a conversation with a friend. The late Austin bassist and producer, George Reiff, made plans with Kevin Russell to build up his collection of home recordings into something more. Unfortunately, George never got the chance to finish the project. Kevin continued on with the record and joined forces with David Boyle of Church House Recording Studios to put together the collection of songs on Fog & Bling. Shinyribs brought the band to Studio 1A to showcase the new music before playing an album release show at Mohawk.
