Charleston-based Susto is really tough to pin down. In a good way. Born out of frontman Justin Osborne‘s attempt to escape the monotony of his daily life, Susto’s songs have a magical quality of being stylistically diverse while at the same time containing a thread of unity that is strung through their entire catalog. Sometimes it’s squarely indie, other times it has a country tinge, at other times it’s rock to the core. This can sometimes be jarring, but Susto manages to pull it off with flying colors. Susto is busy touring with the Lumineers, but they stopped by Studio 1A to show us some of the tunes off of their recently released second album, & I’m Fine Today. Check it out below!
