Argentinian singer/songwriter María Volonté and harmonica player Kevin Carrel Footer combine the best of two contrasting styles in The Blue Tango Project. Their unique musical flavor swept into Studio 1A on Wednesday as part of their nationwide tour.
Tango Hall of Fame member Maria Volonte earned a Carlos Gardel Prize (Argentinian Grammy) and a Latin Grammy nomination. Kevin Carrell Footer fell in love with the harmonica while hitchhiking across the country, and his book, “A Tango before I Die” was published in 2013.
The Blue Tango Project will perform at Esquina Tango on October 30.
