Dom Fisher and Tony Kamel, roommates who together comprise 1/2 of the Austin-based bluegrass band Wood and Wire, now also operate under the tasty moniker The Gravy Brothers. While both share guitar and vocal duties, Dom implements banjo and mandolin while Tony lays down bluegrassy grooves on upright bass, resulting in what the duo describe as a “manifestation of the every day jams” that they have at home. This is the fast-pickin’, foot-stompin’, nose-runnin’ bluegrass you’ve been looking for!
This past Wednesday, The Gravy Brothers came by Studio 1A for a special performance – the morning before they played their first Austin gig at the illustrious Cactus Cafe! Check out their KUTX performance right here!
