The Greyhounds 4.20.16

Take Texas blues, mix it with some soul and one gets, The Greyhounds, a band with a righteous sound that knows when to crank up the volume. Hailing from Austin, the Greyhounds have a sound that feels familiar, immediate thoughts of Stevie Ray Vaughan and ZZ Top come to mind as well as an Al Green soul sound on vocals. The Greyhounds are made up of Andrew Trube on guitar and vocals and Anthony Farrell on keyboard and vocals and are set to release their latest album, Change Of Pace, on April 29th. The band’s music captures the wonderful blending of genres without a hitch in their step, with Trube’s polished guitar playing matching Farrell on keys creating a hauntingly gritty sound.

The Greyhounds stopped by Studio 1A and played an incredible set for us. If you missed it live, we have you covered, you can stream right here on KUTX.
