The Miró Quartet at KUTX 9.4.13

The Miró Quartet is an illustrious gem of classical music performance, comprised of internationally-renowned members, each of whom teach at the University of Texas in between their performances at some of the world’s most prestigious concert halls. Violinists Daniel Ching and Daniel Fedkenheuer join John Largess on viola and Joshua Gindele on cello to form an untouchable group of astonishing musical prowess. Since its formation in 1995, The Miró Quartet has won multiple first-place and grand prizes in chamber music and string quartet competitions, and when they aren’t racking up the prizes, wowing audiences through impactful performances, or teaching private lessons and master classes, the quartet can be heard in all their brilliance on several astounding recordings.

Beginning Friday, September 6th, The Miró Quartet will be playing three nights of Beethoven’s quartet music, presented by the Butler School of Music at the Jessen Auditorium on the University of Texas campus. However, don’t let your ears miss this sneak preview of The Miró Quartet’s virtuosity from their performance from this past Tuesday right here on KUTX!
