Austin bluegrass band Wood & Wire takes its name directly from the music that it plays. Acoustic music played on instruments made from wood and wire. The group came together in 2010, and their live shows and early recordings have already earned them a good deal of buzz around town. Wood & Wire released their self-titled, debut album in February 2013 and are working on their highly anticipated sophomore release. They are one of a handful of local acts chosen to play this year’s Austin City Limits Music Festival. Wood & Wire will be performing LIVE in Studio 1A on Monday, August 18 at 11am.
