Horizontes explores the musical “horizons” of Latin America and beyond on KUTX 98.9 Austin every Sunday 7-9pm. The program has been on the air at KUT and KUTX for nearly 40 years! Michael Crockett, began producing and hosting the program in 1989 and continues doing so today. The 3-hour program is a musical journey that starts in Brazil for the 1st hour, wanders through the rest of South America in the 2nd hour and explores the Spanish-speaking Caribbean in the 3rd hour. And there are side trips to wherever Latin music is made, be it the USA, Canada, Spain, Portugal, Cape Verde, etc.
