The Austin septet just shared this 9/8 piece of jazz-funk-rock fusion ahead of their last show of the year tomorrow night at The Mohawk.
Straight out of the 512, Austin-based funk-rock band Blue Tongue is back with a brand-new single! “Blisters” marks the first release from their highly anticipated album, set to drop on January 9th, 2025. After making fans wait since their last single in 2023, “Blisters” is here to prove that the wait was well worth it.
Blending infectious funk with jazz fusion, “Blisters” is a track you won’t stop dancing to. Released on December 6th, it’s been stuck in my head ever since — a groove that lingers long after the music stops. From its captivating melody to its harmonious arrangement, the song masterfully balances a rich mix of instruments without ever feeling overwhelming. Instead, it leaves you intrigued and appreciative of the art and talent behind this melodic blend of instruments.
