Twin brothers Zach and Ben Yudin spent two years meticulously crafting the ten tracks on Cayucas’s second full-length, Dancing at the Blue Lagoon, using a “music first, lyrics to follow” method. The brothers said it feels natural even if it markedly lengthens the process.
Take “Moony Eyed Walrus”: the lyrics were changed at least ten times, with the final cut written in the studio the day of recording. The track’s sound is indicative of the “always upbeat, always light” tone of their sophomore album.
