The latest victim of Austin’s success is Holy Mountain. The popular Red River club announced its closing last month due to a major rent hike, but before it shuts its doors in October, owner James Taylor is planning a multi-month blowout. Austin rap luminaries Magna Carda hold down a July residency at Holy Mountain, curating every Thursday bill with a different theme. Tonight, there are three genre-specific bands but all with one goal in mind: to get you dancing. New Orleans’ Flow Tribe headlines with a set of old-school funk and R&B.
