If you’ve ever been curious about what the love child of dream pop and Americana would sound like, Kristin Diable has the answer. The New Orleans singer-songwriter’s new album Impossible Things is her boldest to date, enhancing her Americana background with swelling textures and cinematic depth, like a current you’ve entrusted to be your guide. According to Diable, the album is a body of work about resilience, mystery, healing, and rebirth. Sonically and emotioanlly, it exists in the liminal space we find ourselves navigating as we rebuild, whether we were broken by outside forces or by our own necessary design.
Impossible Things is out now on Speakeasy Records.
