Ontario quartet Tokyo Police Club has remained a major figure in many connoisseur’s indie rock rolodex and for good reason. Well it may make some folks feel their age, but Tokyo Police Club’s landmark sophomore LP Champ came out a whopping ten years back.
The good news though is that these innovative indie rock icons are letting fans relive (or experience for the first time) the Champ nostalgia as part of their Champ 10 tour, which brings Tokyo Police Club to the Historic Scoot Inn this Saturday alongside Austin’s Darkbird. TPC plans on playing Champ in its entirety but as the end-of-year lists begin to trickle out, you may want to consider Tokyo Police Club’s newly-recorded Champ-era demo that perfectly captures the group’s aura, “Top 5”!
