You might not believe that a pair of violinists, a violist, and a cellist can rock out, but that’s exactly what you get from classical, chamber band, Brooklyn Rider— a group of classically trained musicians jamming out like rock stars on their stringed instruments. They’re a band that feels at home in rock halls and concert halls alike. The group is truly revolutionizing classical music; as we’ve said they recreate “the 300-year-old form of string quartet as a vital and creative 21st-century ensemble.” Don’t miss Brooklyn Rider Tuesday March 18, at 11 a.m.! Hopefully we’ll get to hear a piece from their new album, A Walking Fire set to release April 30. Until then, Check out their Tiny Desk performance with us right here!
