The Invincible Czars at KUTX 11.25.13

Austin’s own Invincible Czars are known for playing a mix of original material and arrangements of classical works, including Tchaikovsky’s original Nutcracker. Phil Davidson (violin), Leila Henly (winds), Bill Petersen (keys), Josh Robins (guitar), and Henry Q Vines (bass) make up the band, and their music is a combination of fuse riff rock, classical music, groovy funk, country, and polka. The band is also known for their original live scores for movies, which they perform at indoor and outdoor theaters. Their live performances are unique, inventive, and frenzied, and they are certainly not to be missed. The Czars play an annual Nutcracker Kids’ Show, which will be a Spiderhouse Café November 30 at 2 p.m. and 10 p.m.

The Invincible Czars brought their high-spirited act to our Studio 1A this past Monday, and you can check out their performance right here!
