Menhuin Comp at KUTX 2.6.14 @ 11 a.m.

February 21 through March 2 The Butler School of Music at the University of Texas in Austin will be hosting this year’s biennial Menuhin Competition, the world’s leading competition for violinists age 22 and under. This is the 3oth year for the competition to be held, but it’s first time in North America. The events will take place both at the UT Austin campus and the Long Center. The ten day festival includes concerts, master classes, and community activities with world-class musicians. All performances are open to the public, attracting spectators from around the world.
