The Blues Grifters are heavy hitters in the blues world, though it’s hard not to be with a frontman as gritty and charismatic as Nakia. The blues singer has been circulating the Austin music scene since 2002, though made his national breakthrough as a semi-finalist on NBC’s The Voice in 2011. After coming back from the show, he put The Blues Grifters back together and they haven’t stopped since. Ripping guitar leads, screaming saxophone, and unrelenting drums fill out the band’s sound.
