ATX five-piece Font maintains a refreshing rejection of modern music marketing trends. Barely any social media presence, mostly absent from major streaming services, and a band name that’s impossible to google search. It probably contributed to our only recent discovery of them, but that’s just the price for being mysterious and cool.
Sincerely though, Font is cool not because of their enigmatic existence but because of their impeccable taste for 80’s post-punk sounds. A little Bauhaus, Wire, and Gang of Four mingles with a modern ear and attitude for easily the best thing we heard this week.
