Hole in the Wall has renewed their contract to remain in their current location on Guadalupe Street.  The venue’s new contract is set for the next five years. However, the companion restaurant East Side King has announced a plan to relocate in January when their lease expires. Hole in the Wall will be looking for a replacement in their kitchen on-site. The trial for Rashad Owens, the man who drove his car through a crowd of people at the South By Southwest music festival in 2014, is underway. Owens crashed into a large group of people outside a concert venue, killing four and injuring 20. Testimonies from the victims began on Monday, and will continue over the next three weeks before the jury decides the fate of the 23-year-old. Owens is facing a life sentence on the charge of capital murder and sentences of five to 99 years each on four counts of felony murder.

 

Facebook has introduced a new Music Stories feature that allows users to share bits of their favorite songs in conjunction with Apple Music and Spotify. Currently, the feature is only available for the Apple Music and Spotify users, but Facebook has already announced that more platforms are on the way.

 

 

Kendrick Lamar stopped in Austin to perform an emotion-filled, energetic performance as a part of the Austin City Limits series. Performing to a packed house, Lamar gave fans a two-hour experience that they will never forget. For those not lucky enough to squeeze into the Moody Theatre, the show will be broadcast through PBS in the future, though a date has not currently been set. His performance continued a string of spectacular shows in Austin for the legend that Kendrick Lamar is on his way to becoming.
