Mac DeMarco Celebrates 27 By Raising Money for L.A.’s Food Banks

Mac DeMarco turned 27 yesterday, and to celebrate he invited his fans to join him in LA for a cookout and listening sesh as he debuted his new album This Old Dog in full as well as some unreleased malarkey. Oh, wait, that’s #unreleasedmalarky. The Salad Days singer was also grillin up hot dogs to feed fans in exchange for donations to the city’s local food bank. DeMarco threw a similar event a couple of years ago in his then-homebase of Brooklyn around the release of 2015’s Another One. Mac DeMarco embarks on a tour later this month, co-headlining with the Flaming Lips on several dates. That tour, Lips included, hits Austin on October 1st.
