City of Austin Music Office Puts Out Call to Austin Musicians

The City of Austin music office put out a call yesterday afternoon to all local musicians keen on playing the area’s evacuation shelters through the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey. The request comes directly from the American Red Cross. Austin-area shelters are at the Delco Center, LBJ High School, and the Burger Center. No stipulations on genre, but simple setups are requested. Musicians need serious inquiries to Stephanie.bergara@austintexas.gov. If you’re not a musician but are looking for ways you can donate time or other resources to the Hurricane Harvey relief effort, find a link full of sources on our website.

BoJack Horseman Season 4 to Premiere Alongside Soundtrack

Well BoJack Horseman fans, season 4 is about a week and a half away, but next Friday won’t just bring you a fresh batch of episodes; your ears will get a treat too. The BoJack Horseman soundtrack is due out the same day as the show’s season 4 premiere.

Predominantly making up the album’s tracklist are selections from show composer Jesse Novak, as well as Grouplove’s “Back in the 90s” outro song and tracks by Nina Simone and Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney, including a cover of the America classic “A Horse With No Name” by Carney featuring Michelle Branch, whose latest album was produced by Carney himself. Fill your earholes and eye sockets with a deluge of BoJack Horseman next Friday, September 8th.
