The Austin Music Minute is supported by Howler Brothers, an Austin-based designer of creative outdoor apparel since 2011, and by Planet K, Austin’s local hemp emporium since 1990.
Perhaps this is what “instant classic” means. When you spin jams from Suit Yourself by KUTX Artist of the Month alum Je’Texas, like “No Vacancy” or “The Woman I Love”, you realize that these originals would be right at home with a lot of ’60s music collections. Songwriter/vocalist Dylan Bishop draws from a lot of the old-school influences his dad shared with him, including classic blues.
Treat yourself to a badass set by Je’Texas at their residency show tonight at Kinda Tropical, at 3501 E. 7th, 7:30-9 p.m. And you can catch Je’Texas at Kinda Tropical every other Thursday through August.
