The glass is raised, if a bit unsteadily, the whiskey’s tossed back, and so proceeds the uneasy sinking into the void. Those resurrected nightmares have a sting like no other. Putting pen to paper occasionally releases a few of the demons that won’t be hushed by the burning liquor, but the hours won’t pass quickly enough. Austin-based Spaceflight Records artist Wil Cope coaxes out these images on his album KOOL BREEZ as if digging from his own tormented collection of ghosts. And, in keeping with a bit of tradition started by Cope himself over the years, he brings his spectral vision to his own familiar haunt, Hole In the Wall, for a show tonight at 8 p.m. He shares the stage with the enigmatic Greg Jr.
Listen as the tales unfold. That winding road doesn’t seem to end.
