Who: Friends and fellow musicians will tell you that Andrew Collins is awesome. A badass. We’re talking good people here. You’ve probably seen him at shows playing with L.A.X., At All Cost, or Vegatron. Unfortunately, this past summer, Collins suffered a serious setback after being injured in a motorcycle accident that left him in a coma for a week. Thankfully, he’s in recovery mode, although it will take him some time to get completely back on his feet. It’s not been easy, but word is that Collins is a fighter and a half. No quitting for this guy.
What: In keeping with the generous spirit found so often in the local music community, Collins’ friends and family have put together a weekend of benefit shows to help cover his medical costs. All manner of local bands are stepping up to help a brother out. Presenting AndrewFest.
When: Tonight and tomorrow night, with doors opening at 8:30/9 p.m.
Where: Red 7, 611 E. 7th St.
Why: All you have to do is take a gander at the line-ups, and you’ll immediately see it’s a no-brainer.
