It’s the perfect summary of Hovvdy‘s fourth album, True Love, encapsulated in “Around Again,” touching upon those brief but beautiful moments that define our lives, played over and over again in our minds because there’s no going back.

This is the fourth album for Charlie Martin and Will Taylor, a heartfelt reflection of their own experiences since marrying their respective partners, and Taylor becoming a father for the first time. True Love genuinely seems to be an LP written for themselves and their loved ones. The more acoustic path they’ve taken makes their sound as expansive than ever, as it emanates a warmth and beauty while, as Martin explains, “…knowing there would always be a layer of darkness in there.”
After wrapping up the first half of their tour with tonight’s sold-out show at the Mohawk and two other sold-out dates in Brooklyn, the Austin-based duo resumes their tour starting in March next year. And today, the AMM proudly premieres an exclusive performance video of “Around Again”:
