Anthony Da Costa has dedicated most of his life to music. The twenty-four year old songwriter, originally from Pleasantville, NY, has been recording and performing since the age of 10. These days, Austin is his home, where he performs with his trio, Da Costa, and collaborates with a number of local artists. He’s recently been playing guitar in Jimmy LaFave‘s band, and just returned from a stint at Bruce Hornsby‘s Funhouse Fest in Williamsburg, VA.
Da Costa has not played a local gig since April (not counting the recent Wilco tribute at Stay Gold), so he’s been looking forward to reuniting with his trio for a show tonight at Strange Brew Lounge Side, 5330 Manchaca Rd. Da Costa hits the stage at 10 p.m., following a set by Cari Hutson & Good Company starting at 8 p.m. Rather a lovely Monday evening. Recommended.
