Scott Strickland invites you to celebrate the many contributions of Black music artists in folk, rock and beyond.
Scott Strickland presents a unique festival setting with Black Artists Rock, a celebratory space not only for great music, but for many stories and experiences to share about the numerous contributions of Black musicians in every genre.
Strickland, an Austin-based artist and grant recipient of Sonic Guild, puts the focus on rock, folk and singer-songwriter music styles for this series, launching tonight at Far Out Lounge and Stage in South Austin. Keith Sanders of soul/psych rock outfit Brother Thunder is Strickland’s first guest on the Far Out stage, and upcoming guests include Ray Prim, Karima Santi, Nnedimmaya Agbaroji (Trouble In the Streets), and Zak Webb.
