Tell you whut. Two AMM faves are on the line-up tonight at Sagebrush. A tip o’ the hat to these two:
- Before reigniting those bittersweet memories with “Cigarettes,” Kathryn Legendre was driving your AMM host to tears with “One Long Sad Song,” and even before that, serenading everybody onto the dance floor with all the great singles on Making It Up. Absolute favorite – “Going Crazy.” Tell me you can’t relate.
- Imagine encapsulating all the best elements of country into a contemporary style, and you have what songwriter Chris Scruggs once proclaimed as the “HillBillie Holiday” herself, Melissa Carper. She’s fresh off a tour supporting her incredible solo LP, Ramblin’ Soul.
The music starts early tonight at 7 p.m. with Legendre, followed by Carper at 9 p.m. Then that feller from Fort Worth, Cory Cross, rounds out the night perfectly at 11 p.m.
