You might recall your Austin Music Minute host fan-girling over former psych-pop/shoegaze outfit Isaiah the Mosaic, who…sort of disbanded not too long ago following their 2015 release, Heroin Island. I say “sort of” because there’s new music to fawn over, thanks to their most recent incarnation, Palm Daze. And of course, there’s a rich musical history behind the band; vocalist and synth player Eric McClung and drummer Ryan Heath have been playing together for at least 16 years, while bassist Tyler Delaune has been with the two musicians for the past seven years.

Palm Daze’s new EP is the lush and atmospheric Controls (“Company Calls” is featured on today’s AMM). Check out the new tracks at their EP release show tonight at the Mohawk, 912 Red River, on the inside stage. Psyched-up dream rockers Spaceface and pop-rock outfit Growl share the bill.

Doors open at 8 p.m.  An excellent line-up all around. And brace yourself for Spaceface’s extravagant, out-of-this-world light show. Can you say…lasers? Holy hell. Recommended.
