On Black Liquid Drop‘s website, there’s a video of the local quartet performing “Come Down” live, which should give you some idea of how their heavy sonic swirl engulfs the room and takes it over. Awash in oozing light and cryptic video imagery, the band melts faces with drone psychedelia and fuzzed-up vibration, as does their self-titled 2016 EP.
This will definitely make your Friday. Catch Black Liquid Drop tonight at Beerland, 711 1/2 Red River, with Denton bands Psychic Killers and Slackbeat, and local bands Evil Triplet and OOZER on the bill. Doors at 9:30 p.m., and the music kicks off at 10 p.m. This one comes very recommended.
