Tyler Dozier launches a debut single with their latest art-punk project.

AMM Jan. 25 2025

The Opera single release tonight at Empire Control Room, with LINT! album release/farewell show, Luxury Television, and Eighty Six Truth.

There’s a couple of shows under their belt since forming last spring, and now The Opera unveils a debut single glistening “sickly sweet” then slicing right through.

“Crystallized” is the jagged electro/art punk gem recently cut by songwriter/vocalist Tyler Dozier, a.k.a. multi-genre maestro Lady Dan, and producer Ernesto Grey, who’s worked with recent KUTX Artist of the Month Font, AMM-featured bands Farmer’s Wife and Loveme and others. They’ve assembled a multi-talented crew that’s opened for LA’s experimental ensemble Xiu Xiu and Mexico City’s avant-garde electro-pop duo Valgur.

More is on the horizon, including The Opera’s debut EP out this summer, and a single release show tonight at Empire Control Room on E. 7th. Doors at 7 p.m. It’s also an album release and farewell show for LINT!, with a line-up including Luxury Television and Farmer’s Wife drummer Jaelyn Valero‘s solo project Eighty Six Truth.
