Who: A lot of top talent goes into the “jagged little country band” Harvest Thieves. (Thanks to drummer James Taylor for the description.) It’s country, roots, even some rock in there, featuring the talents of songwriter, vocalist and former Guns of Navarone front man Cory Reinisch.
What: Harvest Thieves is releasing a new track, “Escape From Paper City,” on a split 7-inch vinyl with Minneapolis-based artist Sam Cassidy, who’s contributed a track called “Tell Him.” Meanwhile, here in Austin, Harvest Thieves have put together a lovely release party in honor of the occasion.
When: Tonight at 9 p.m.
Where: Holy Mountain, 617 E. 7th St.
Why: Frankly, it’ll be the perfect opportunity to catch plenty of new music. The bill includes Ben Ballinger, A. Sinclair and songwriter Sara Houser‘s band Lowin. Great stuff all around. Recommended.
