Eyes On the Vinyl

Psych synth-rock quintet Isaiah the Mosaic already had a lot to share with their 2013 debut EP, Systems. Now they’re focused on a new full-length album – and on one of the most renown studios to help get the job done.

Formed in 2011, Isaiah the Mosaic is inspired by the earlier, more progressive rock and experimental styles of Pink Floyd and Genesis with Peter Gabriel as the cerebral, surrealistic front man paving the way, as well as contemporary favorites like Tame Impala and indie-electronic band Broadcast. As previously reported in the Austin Music Minute, the band is about to start a Kickstarter campaign in support of their full-length recording, to be produced by Danny Reisch.

Isaiah the Mosaic is inviting friends and fans out to their special Kickstarter launch party tonight at the Mohawk, 912 Red River, on the inside stage. Check out performances by Glasgow transplants Mabel 1918 and indie pop-rock band My Russian Princess. Doors open at 9 p.m. Recommended.
