Got Me Where You Want Me

Who: Houston native Amanda Cevallos has just about done it all – acting, dancing, modeling. But the day her mom found her a $40 guitar at a thrift store, it was the beginning of something big, the one true love of her life emerging. The first song Cevallos wrote was about her father, “Jose Guadalupe,” the very song she once sang for Willie Nelson. It was a huge turning point. Now, two albums and an EP later, living and making music in Austin since 2009, there’s something new to share.

What: Cevallos’ latest release, Got Me Where You Want Me, shows another fire stirring within a heart that houses old-school country and stories of love, loss and survival.

When and where: Here’s your chance to hear some of those lovely new tracks. Amanda Cevallos performs tonight at midnight at The White Horse, 500 Comal. It’s a late-night show most worthy of your Monday. The Love Leighs start out the night at 8 p.m., followed by Jim Stringer at 10 p.m.
