Who: Blind Side of the Heart, the second solo release by former Gilded Splinters frontman Josh Buckley, was recorded in just two days. One can imagine that’s all it took to bare it all, pouring out every ounce of love and loss, each heartbreak and battle scar, that Buckley could muster in his voice. He may be from Boston, but there’s something in that soul that’s full-on Texan mixed with Crazy Horse by way of Parsons and Sahm.

When and where: See Josh and his band tonight at the White Horse, 500 Comal. They perform at 10 p.m. The evening kicks off with the High Plains Jamboree at 8 p.m. The mighty Bo Porter plays at 11 p.m.
