Sandy Martinez organizes another incredible event overflowing with talent, all in support of Border Kindness.
It doesn’t take much thought for it to make sense. Sandy Martinez asks you to put politics on pause as you ask yourself this question: “Kindness is everything, isn’t it?”
The Austin-based educator, artist, photographer and activist has organized another outstanding event with Kids at the Border 5, benefitting nonprofit organization Border Kindness, which provides support and guidance to immigrants and the displaced. This year’s Kids at the Border takes place tonight at Justine’s Brasserie, 4710 E. 5th St., and shines the spotlight on numerous visual artists, an impressive array of food by various chefs, and a live music line-up guaranteed to blow you away. The stage is lit tonight with Urban Heat, Holy Wave, Andrew Cashen & The Disciples of Creation, Bill Baird + Heavy Meddo, and today’s AMM featured band Club Coma, plus spins by DJs Zapot and Symbolica.
