There’s no way you could remain still while Wino Vino launches into a raucous and riveting flow of mad melodies. Since 2006, fans have been swept away to distant times and places as this group of multi-instrumental, multi-talented miscreants engulfs the room with devious, enchanting blends of Eastern European folk and Prohibition-era cabaret, all done while everybody in the group chimes in to harmonize. It’s not merely a performance; it’s an experience fueling the imagination and instantly transforming audiences into one big gypsy soiree.
The Austin Music Minute sends hearty congratulations to Wino Vino on their 10-year anniversary. Tonight, they celebrate with the release of their third album, The Ride, and a huge party at Esquina Tango, 209 Pedernales St. Their friends the White Ghost Shivers will join in the revelry and merry-making this evening.
