Time to shake off the Monday blahs, and one of the best places to do it tonight is at the Hole In the Wall, 2538 Guadalupe. That’s where you’ll find Tex Smith delivering the honky-tonk goods and then some, starting at 8 p.m. From Smith’s self-titled 2009 debut, to his 2010 release To A Bird Singing Woe and 2012’s A Wayfarer’s Lament, you’ll find his storytelling strikes a chord that’s simultaneously joyous and heartbreaking.
Tonight’s bill also features Junkyard Mongrels, songwriter Joe Sundell and The Bluebird Specials. All this great music makes Mondays a lot better. Recommended.
