No lie. The OBN III’s was an instant love for your Austin Music Minute host, and not only for their badass, boisterous garage-punk fury. This is also a band that couldn’t be bothered.
As you might have noticed, the AMM yammers on about the importance, the brilliance, of the live music experience. “You need to see this band live.” OBN III’s seem to be on similar wavelength, dismissing the ridiculous idea of a rambling, detailed explanation about their music on their Facebook page and instead declaring, “Come see us live. How’s that for a long description, Facebook?”
Yes. And yes. Indulge in the rowdy revelry. Maybe see some treacherous leaps from amps, you never know. OBN III’s play tonight at Barracuda, 611 E. 7th St., with Rusted Shut, Total Abuse, Filth, and Empty Markets. Doors open at 9 p.m. Saturday night chaos. Recommended.
