If you haven’t done so by now, you really do need to pay a visit to Ovrld.com. Ovrld (short for Overload, although I’ve been known to refer to them as “Overlord” because…well, it’s the weird sci-fi geek in me that likes the sound of that) is an excellent resource for local music discovery, covering a wide range of genres and generally having a great time reviewing albums, EPs, music videos, shows and loads more.
And, like all great music-sharing outlets, Ovrld presents shows of their own, featuring some of their hand-picked favorites, the bands to look out for. You can check out their showcase tonight at Holy Mountain, 617 E. 7th St. Once again, they’ve selected some winners that your Austin Music Minute maven is definitely a fan of: Little Radar, Summer Swells, Stella. The North and The Harvest Thieves. Great, one and all. Doors open at 9 p.m. Check them all out. Recommended.
