Flesh and Bone Records describes Austin-based project proun, led by guitarist/bassist/lyricist Jamie Weed, as music to reflect new interpretations of life. It’s scratching the surface, but that’s your invitation to delve further into Weed’s rumination on the three-track EP form, enveloped by swathes of dreamy guitar riffs and melodic manifestation. It will leave you looking forward to more by Weed.
Tonight, proun takes the stage for an early show at Chess Club on Red River, with sets by Pry, and Denton bands Please Advise, and Amelia’s Bestfriend. Doors at 5 p.m., with the show starting at 6 p.m.
