It wouldn’t be a party at Cheer Up Charlie’s without a lot of awesome live music, and that’s what tonight’s summer party has in store for you. CUC and The Nothing Song put the spotlight on post-punk, rock and experimental artists in the local scene:
-Anti-genre fiends Popper Burns start out the night, 9:30 p.m. And don’t tell them what to do, because SHUT UP.
-Bouncy jangle popsters TRÉS OUI, 10:30 p.m.
-Waving the weird flag gloriously on high, Austin Music Minute dreamboats Big Bill (featured on today’s AMM) on the outside stage, 11 p.m.
-A country rock/cowpunk feast with Rattlesnake Milk, 11:30 p.m.
-They’re born to burn. Experimental psych rock with Lake of Fire, 1:30 a.m.
Saturday night’s very all right. On fire, really. Recommended.
