The Greeting Committee joins Husbands for a few Texas dates…
The insensitivity of it all. Or, not so much insensitive but perhaps a lack of empathy? Either way, The Greeting Committee‘s Addie Sartino says their single “Get Over It” was inspired by friends not taking your heartbreak seriously. It’s paired with an irreverent assumption that a time limit comes with grief when one is no longer “a teenager,” presumably associating grief with immaturity. Like, just get over it already. To which Sartino respectfully replies, no, that’s not how it works…
The Greeting Committee teamed up with Oklahoma City band Husbands to play three Texas dates this month. One down, two to go. Following last night’s Houston show, they’ll be in Austin tonight at Radio East, with special guest, producer Con Davison joining the party. Doors at 7 p.m. That’s followed by a Dallas show tomorrow at Trees.
