The Tower

In this existence of relentless uncertainty, Urban Heat dives head first into the unknown.

Urban Heat album release show tonight at 3Ten ACL Live, with GVLLOW and Delores Galore.

Photo after photo, video after video, you see Urban Heat fans losing their minds on social media over their new favorite band. It’s beyond exciting to see Austin-based bands like this magnetic darkwave trio bringing their music to eager audiences across the country – and soon, if the stars align and the tour goddesses smile favorably upon the intention, in different parts of the world. But Jonathan Horstmann will be the first to tell you that taking that leap into nonstop touring was not an easy decision to come by.

Urban Heat’s new album The Tower is reflective of these pivotal experiences. Even the title, referencing The Tower Tarot card, represents tumultuous moments of not only destruction or crises but significant shifts in thinking and being. “The Tower is a story of a band that has begun to spread its wings, has taken the plunge into the unknown, and put thousands of miles under its feet,” Horstmann says. “The Tower is moments of jubilation and moments of fear. The unbelievable joy of creation and the anxiety of f**king it all up…”

Tonight, experience the Tower power yourself at Urban Heat’s album release show at 3Ten ACL Live. Doors at 8:30 p.m., and the excellent line-up features LA-based darkest-hearted electro punk/goth artist GVLLOW, and New Orleans-based ’70s disco/’80s synth-pop inspired artist Delores Galore. Get to 3Ten early and don’t miss a single set.
