The SIMS Foundation and Red River Cultural District have partnered with the Travis County District Attorney to present Safer Together, three benefit shows raising awareness of overdose prevention and harm reduction. Proceeds from each show benefit the SIMS Foundation’s efforts to provide mental health care and substance use recovery services to the Austin music industry, and their dependent family members.
Tonight’s performances include Blackillac at the Mohawk, 912 Red River; Otis the Destroyer at Empire Control Room, 606 E. 7th St., and Billy King & The Bad Bad Bad and Lord Friday the 13th (“St. Judy” is featured on today’s AMM) at The Green Jay, 711 Red River. Admission is free, but attendees are encouraged to show their support for SIMS.
