It’s your introduction to Saturday’s Africa Night at this East Austin treasure, also home to an equally-electrifying Latin Night and jazz improv jam, an OG HQ for Riders Against the Storm‘s ultimate celebration Body Rock ATX, and a very popular Ladies Night extravaganza. Each Saturday, Austin-based Afrobeat outfit Zoumountchi, led by multi-instrumentalist Ibrahim Aminou, envelops the room with a rich blend of original music and various arrangements of traditional African songs.
Saturday night plans sorted! This Saturday, July 13, the evening begins with Afro Jazz at 7:30 p.m., followed by Afropop jams with Bamako Airlines at 9 p.m., then Zoumountchi takes over at 11 p.m.
