Otis the Destroyer was the delightful beast that emerged after front man Taylor Wilkins began winding things down with his previous band, The Couch, in 2014. They’ve been rockin’ crowds out and shattering eardrums ever since, and there’s a new album to look forward to, their debut full-length Keep Bashing, in September.
Today, the band premiered a new video for one of the album’s tracks, the punk-paced monster shredder “Van Rosita” (featured on today’s Austin Music Minute). Get a preview of what’s to come with the new album when you see Otis the Destroyer tonight at Cheer Up Charlie’s, 901 Red River. The bill is loaded with rock, my friend: Dr. Joe, Maxx Cherry (featuring members of Trail of Dead and Scorpion Child), and Mr. Matt Gilmour starting out the night. Doors at 9 p.m., music at 10 p.m.
