You’ve got another busy weekend in store, thanks to one massive music overload courtesy of part two of ACL Fest 2013, and alt.-fests like the wild and woolly Austin Corn Lover’s Fiesta. Check this out:
– Today’s Austin Music Minute recommendations for ACL Fest include Fun, Local Natives, The Blind Boys of Alabama, Jake Bugg, and Vampire Weekend. There may be some showers today, so bring some extra umbrellas and rain parkas.
– The Austin Corn Lover’s Fiesta continues with a great line-up tonight at the Hole In the Wall, 2538 Guadalupe. This is a perfect opportunity to catch the Old 97’s in a venue with the perfect atmosphere for the music. And it’s bound to get rowdy with the In & Outlaws, the Hickoids, the mighty T. Tex Edwards fronting Purple Stickpin, Ricky Broussard’s Two Hoots & A Holler, and Western Star. Doors open at 8 p.m. and the music kicks off at 8:30 p.m. Get there early; it’s bound to fill up.
I’ve said it before – there’s something for everyone this weekend. Enjoy.
