Witness the Conjuring

Here’s another show that seems to have been booked in Austin Music Minute heaven. Just drooling over the line-up in the latest edition of the Black Smoke Conjuring concert series, presented by Austin/Los Angeles-based music gear purveyors Boss Tweed Backline. This week’s guest headliner is LA band Dead Meadow, in a somewhat rare appearance that makes this an extra-special show, and made even more spectacular by the local bands sharing the bill.

This week, the concert series is putting the spotlight on artists embracing the dark, mesmerizing grooves and riffs of desert psych, with sets by Lord Buffalo (featured on today’s AMM), Holy Wave and Greenbeard. Dead Meadow’s Black Smoke Conjuring show is this Wednesday night at Empire Control Room, 606 E. 7th St. The Mustachio Light Show will take this gig to the next level with extraordinary visual experiences. Doors open at 8 p.m.

Don’t miss this one. Recommended.
